Frequently Asked Questions
Autism, also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a dynamic developmental condition characterized by a spectrum of challenges with social interaction, communication, and behavior. Individuals with autism may exhibit a wide range of symptoms and abilities, making each case unique. Common signs include difficulties in understanding social cues, repetitive behaviors, and specific interests.
Sunflower Assessments LLC provides comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis of autism. We offer a holistic approach, starting with an in-depth assessment that includes clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized testing. Early diagnosis is crucial to improved outcomes, as an earlier diagnosis will allow the child to start therapies earlier.
After diagnosis, we provide personalized recommendations and a support plan tailored to the child's strengths and challenges, that can be started and followed until the child's appointment with their specialized pediatrician: Developmental Pediatrician, Neurologist or Psychiatrist. At Sunflower Assessments LLC, our goal is to offer compassionate and thorough care to help children with autism reach their full potential.
Developmental delays occur when children do not reach their developmental milestones at the expected times. These delays can affect a range of areas including speech and language, motor skills, cognitive functioning, and social or emotional development.
At Sunflower Assessment, we can identify these delays through comprehensive evaluations tailored to each child's unique needs. It is crucial for developmental delays to be identified as early as possible. We aim to foster each child's growth and development, helping them reach their full potential.
Sunflower Assessments LLC appreciates you choosing us for your child's care. To maintain a focus on your child's well-being and minimize the administrative costs associated with contracting with insurance companies, we operate as an out-of-network provider.
